March 2026

March is a bit of an on-ramp for this little flower farm.

The ground is starting to wake back up, slowly.
The tulips are starting to grow, slowly.
I’ve been starting seeds, slowly.

Before April literally takes off, I’m getting myself slowly adjusted to the season.

One of the highlights of the month was getting to promote our farm in Holland’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

With a crew of friends and kids, we tossed out candy and shared info for our Tulip U-Pick!

As we know all too well here in West Michigan, March is full of ups and downs with the weather.

On one of those warm weather days, I got to plant some seeds OUTSIDE in the dirt - man, it was good for the soul.

(Did you know there are some seeds that actually thrive when planted outside in these early spring days, with some frosts and thaws still ahead?)

But on the cold days, I’ve been starting my seeds in our trays and getting them growing inside before they’re ready to go out into the world.

The rest of my days have been sprinkled with meetings with other small business owners to collaborate, picking up some fun additions to the farm (like a new cooler), and taking time to soak in the slow time while I have it.

Because while March is my on-ramp, April is go time!
