Cinnamon French Toast Bake
French Toast has always been a favorite of mine, and my kids have fallen in love with this French Toast Bake.
Tweaking from a few recipes, this is my SIMPLE, quick-toss-together bake that is a hit for the whole family. Add some scrambled eggs and fresh bacon from our pigs, and itβs an easy dinner. (Our fave for a cozy Sunday night)
Cinnamon French Toast Bake
16 oz loaf cinnamon swirl bread (I use Pepperidge Farm)
5 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup sugar
1 t vanilla
1 t cinnamon
Topping (optional)
1/4 cup sugar
1 T cinnamon
Slice bread into 1β cubes and put in a greased 9x13 pan.
In a medium sized bowl, mix the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Pour over the bread and toss so the bread is completely covered.
Cover with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for at least
4 hours (overnight is a great option).
Preheat oven to 350*
If desired, mix the cinnamon and sugar topping together and sprinkle evenly over the french toast.
Bake, uncovered, at 350* for 45-60 minutes, depending on how soft you prefer it to be.
Store in the fridge - it keeps well for a few days and can make for easy breakfasts!
